Postpartum Health Alliance
The Postpartum Health Alliance (PHA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about perinatal mood and anxiety symptoms and disorders (PMADs) and providing support and treatment referrals to women and their families. Since its founding in 1998, PHA has established itself as the leading resource for PMAD support and information for mothers, families, and professionals in San Diego County.
PHA’s programs include a “warmline” that receives calls from mothers who are struggling and connects them to trained volunteers for support, providing PMAD trainings and educational conferences for a variety of professionals working with pregnant and postpartum mothers, and hosting a website with helpful information for those seeking to understand these disorders. PHA has received statewide as well as international acclaim for its work, most recently being named one of the top five websites for PMAD information and support by researchers at the University of Sussex.
